Record Setting Sprint To Christmas

T’was a record setting Sprint To Christmas with 245 swimmers participating in the first three day format of the popular Sunkist holiday meet.  The festivities started off with spirited cheers and fast swims as swimmers of all ages competed in Open 25s.  Holiday music filled the air throughout the meet and heat winners won a free peppermint chocolate chip milkshake from Chick-fil-A of Dogwood.

Sunkist swam Christmas lights out all meet, breaking two state records, three team records and winning many high point awards.  Most impressive swims came from the newer and younger swimmers on the team with lots of best times and several state times achieved. 

A proud tradition, Sprint To Christmas is held in support of Toys for Tots.  Leading up to the meet, Sunkist swimmers collect new, unwrapped toys to benefit children in need.  Teams and swimmers participating in the meet also help by bringing toy donations to the competition.  Sunkist would like to thank everyone for helping to provide a joyful holiday season to less fortunate children.
